New Volunteer State Disaster Relief Chaplaincy Coordinator

Dr. DeWayne Wyatt , Church Development Director, Orange Blossom Association, will assist Marc Johnston with enlisting and training DR Chaplains.

We are thrilled to introduce to you Dr. Dewayne Wyatt. He has committed to serve as the Volunteer State Disaster Relief Chaplaincy Coordinator. Since 1999 he has served on the staff of the Orange Blossom Baptist Association as the Church Development Director. His primary responsibility is to assist Churches with Christian education, organize ministry and evangelism opportunities, develop web site communications and assist Churches in strategic planning.

He has extensive Chaplaincy-related training which includes NOVA, CISM, American Red Cross courses and Crisis Counseling.

Dr. Wyatt will be leading the Chaplain’s Forum and the Spiritual Care Training at many of the Regional Disaster Relief Trainings this year. During the Chaplain’s Forum he will be looking for a volunteer to serve as a Regional Disaster Relief Chaplaincy Coordinator. The Florida Disaster Relief Ministry, directed by Fritz Wilson, has divided Florida into regions that coincide with the state Emergency Management Department regions. Seven regions have been designated and we are looking for a regional coordinator for each. Dr. Wyatt will be seeking these volunteers during the regional trainings.

Please welcome Dr. Dewayne Wyatt to our Disaster Relief Chaplaincy Team!
